Intervenção nutricional em grupo de funcionários com sobrepeso ou obesidade praticantes de atividade física: um ensaio clínico randomizado

OBJETIVOS: Avaliar o impacto da intervenção nutricional em indivíduos com sobrepeso ou obesidade, praticantes de atividade física. MÉTODOS: Ensaio clínico randomizado. Os grupos foram submetidos a treinamento com musculação e atividades aeróbicas. O grupo intervenção recebeu orientação nutricional. Foram avaliados através de medidas antropométricas, composição corporal e da relação cintura-quadril (RCQ). RESULTADOS: Participaram da pesquisa 35 indivíduos: 20 no Grupo Intervenção e 15 no Grupo Controle. A idade dos participantes variou de 26 a 58 anos. O grupo intervenção obteve redução de 3kg de peso ao final do estudo, enquanto o grupo controle reduziu apenas 1kg (p=0,008). Observou-se um declínio do IMC no grupo intervenção em relação ao grupo controle (p=0,008). O parâmetro de variação da RCQ se mostrou maior no grupo intervenção (p=0,011). CONCLUSÕES: A intervenção nutricional aliada à atividade física promoveu redução significativa no peso, IMC e RCQ em grupo de funcionários com sobrepeso ou obesidade.
