Water conservation actions have increasingly become important in public and institutional buildings, due to the high operation costs of those buildings. The economy that results from the rational use of water can pay other needs for the building operation and also supply more users with the same installed infrastructure. Besides that, water savings can help the environment conservation, which is the main premise for the sustainable development of any nation. In this context, this article presents the methodology and the results obtained in the water conservation program developed for the Clinical Hospital of the State University of Campinas, SP.
