Esta resenha do livro Couleur de peau et reconnaissance sociale: l’expérience vécue des afro-brésiliens émigrés à Paris, escrito por Lenita Perrier, publicado em 2016 pela L’Hamarttan, percorre pelas “experiência vivida” de migrantes brasileiros em Paris. O foco recai nas dinâmicas raciais dentro de um contexto transnacional. Nesse trajeto analítico, a obra apresenta um conjunto de aspectos que organizam os processos de construção das identidades negras na França. Um dos pontos centrais do livro consiste em compreender continuidades, rupturas e contradições entre as representações raciais produzidas no Brasil e aquelas recriadas no contexto migratório.
