A presente investigação teve por objetivo compor uma cartografia dos processos de subjetivação da militância do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST), tomando como um dos agentes de tal subjetivação o trabalho de formação política. Realizamos nossa cartografia a partir de dois recortes: o curso de Pedagogia da Terra (Rio Grande do Norte) e o X Encontro Regional de Educadores (as) do MST/Sertão (Pernambuco). Em ambos os contextos realizamos observações de campo e trabalhamos com o mesmo grupo de quatro participantes com quem realizamos entrevistas em profundidade. Identificamos que a dimensão coletiva trouxe consigo uma série de conflitos para os integrantes nela inseridos, mas também atingiu as sensibilidades, promovendo novos olhares sobre as diferenças culturais, regionais, pessoais, havendo uma valorização e uma luta para que fossem respeitadas. Com isso, abriu-se a possibilidade de criação e experimentação de modos de vida que resgatam o interesse pela vida pública, fortalecendo espaços de alteridade no âmbito da militância.
