Abstract

Abstract

This article approaches the field of public health policies in schools, focusing on the Health in School Program. Its goal is to analyze the subjectification processes produced between health and education professionals participating in the Health in School Program in the city of Guaíba/RS, through a university extension initiative. The methodological perspective engages in a dialogical movement that combines research and the promotion of university extension, transitioning from a study method to the denaturalization and problematization of everyday practices. This articulation connects the research-intervention of Institutional Analysis with what we denote here as research-extension as a proposition. The data collected presents alternatives to the pedagogical model and positions university extension as a possibility for creating encounters, sustaining a partnership between research-intervention and university extension. This constitutes an ethical dimension of research that enables us to research and intervene “with” – the university, professionals, and the community.
