This article presents the actions and the results of a continuing education among physical education teachers in the region of Fourth Cologne and the SPDC/ UFSM as well as the consequences of government policies in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in this process. The contextualization of the project serves as a starting point for developing further discussion about what goes through a process of continuing education, its challenges, concepts and the relationships established between the World of Work, Education and Education Policies.
