Abstract

This paper analyzes the justifications for interventions focused on Physical Education reported by teachers working at the Goiânia’s Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS). It is a qualitative study, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 teachers. The data were examined through content analysis. The results indicated that, when teachers start working at the CAPS, they follow existing activities or create proposals based on structural conditions available. In the stabilization stage, they organize their actions with better theoretical foundation and greater communication with users’ needs identified by the team or by themselves. Teachers see themselves integrated to the team and gain recognition from other professionals at this stage.
