The study focused on bodily and subjectivity references provided by capitalism in its current forms, as well as on the supposed echoes of these models on the routine of Physical Education teachers working at bodybuilding gyms. It aimed to understand the ways in which participants connect their work to the other experiences in their daily lives. Qualitative research methodology was used, and the empirical material was obtained through 16 semi-structured interviews. The materials analyzed show constant mobilization of the teachers’ bodily dimension. In general, their routine requires intense physical disposition, in addition to rationalization of themselves and their bodies that allows them to highlight the aesthetic and performance attributes by which their professional competence is attested.
