Trends of the Media from one look at the history

Media, history, trendsAbstract
The observation of the answers given by the Media to history makes it possible to point out a trend of future of the next formats. The present article has the objective to relate the different historical moments that mark the 20th and 21st centuries and the development of the media technologies. One understands that the modifications of the Medias are associated to a determined context and become an answer to the questions of the different horizons. Such observation and the description of the characteristics of the current moment lead to the possibility of pointing or justifying the technological characteristics of the media. The delimitation of the 20th century is justified because this period is the one when the most significant inventions directed towards the communication are concentrated: the radio, the television and the Internet, marking still the power of the press. This co-existence of different formats makes the 20th century a landmark for any inquiry. The beginning of the century, marked by a demand for long distance transmissions, finds in the radio a reply that will be improved in mobile communication, when society seeks mobility. The valuation of the look and the image, resultant of the movement in big cities, arrives at the consolidation of the television. The hypermodern and individualist society of the 21st century verifies the expansion of the cellular telephony as support for the mobile Internet and the convergence of communication languages.Downloads
