Abstract

In this text, we bring together the notions of cinema, education, and formation (Bildung) to discuss pathways and methodological procedures in educational research with films. By exploring conceptual connections between the curriculum, as conceived and practiced in education, and curation, as developed in the artistic and cinematographic realms, we retrace the journey of a doctoral research experience. Ultimately, we propose the establishment of film programs as a methodological gesture capable of inspiring alternative ways of researching between cinema and education.

Camila Macedo, UFPR

Camila Macedo é doutora e mestra em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), bacharela em Cinema e Vídeo pela Universidade Estadual do Paraná (UNESPAR). Pesquisadora do GILDA - Grupo Interdisciplinar em Linguagem, Diferença e Subjetivação (UFPR/CNPq). Atua nas áreas de curadoria, programação e realização em cinema. Desenvolve pesquisas nos campos do Cinema e da Educação em interface com os estudos de gênero e sexualidade. Atualmente, dedica-se à investigação das imagens cinematográficas das lesbianidades, em especial as juvenis.

Jamil Cabral Sierra, Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR

Jamil Cabral Sierra é mestre em Letras pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM), doutor em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), PósDoutor em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Atualmente é professor adjunto no Departamento de Planejamento e Administração Escolar (DEPLAE) e professor permanente no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação (PPGE), do Setor de Educação, da UFPR. É coordenador e pesquisador do GILDA - Grupo Interdisciplinar em Linguagem, Diferença e Subjetivação (UFPR/CNPq). Desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas de Relações de Gênero, Diversidade Sexual, Ética e Estéticas Queer em interface com os campos da Educação, das Mídias e do Cinema.
