In Agenda-setting and Framing literature there is a variety of research dedicated to examine the effects of communicative messages on the audience and its characteristics. In this context, there are theoretical approaches that alternate, coexist and complement each other. This article aims to make a historical review of them, analyzing and differentiating the attribute agenda setting and Framing, often seen as synonymous.
