Youth: work, school, and unequality.

Abstract

This article presupposes that the own contradiction of the globalized capitalist system between the reduction of job posts and the demand of workmanship qualification is expressed significantly in the particular situation of the Brazilian youth in the beginning of the twentieth one century. In the capitalism current conjuncture, the claim for scholarity is stressed to insert in the work market, while the school has not have given results to itself and the demand for the survival leads the poorest young people to search for a job to face the social income inequalities, provoking a vicious circle between the greatest scholarity demand and the necessity of having an earlier job, becoming practically irreconcilable, for most of the youth, the relationship between work and school. The most recent IBGE and Diesee statistics were analyzed.
