Cinema e Sexualidade

Abstract

Sexual and gender subject positions and practices have often been represented in movies as legitimate, modern, pathological, normal, deviant, healthy, inappropriate, dangerous, fatal… Although transitory or contradictory these nominations still persist, now and then, and may have important truth effects. In this article, recurrent representations in the cinema of these positions, and transformations that occurred in the last decades are analysed in mainstream movies.
