This research aims to describe the consequences of implementing three teaching units using comic books as a methodological resource in school Physical Education classes. This is a descriptive study based on a qualitative approach, in which didactic units on fighting, ultimate frisbee, and bodily and health practices were developed with three classes in the final years of Elementary School. The results indicate that the strategy of using comic books as a methodological resource was extremely productive. Specifically, students learned about the topics studied in comparison to what they knew prior to the development of the units. After reading the comics, the debates were especially important to establish conceptual knowledge. According to the students’ perception, it is an interesting and stimulating resource for studying.
