Keywords:

The concept of sustainability is present in the debate about the environment since the 1970s. However, it is still misunderstood in some sectors. Actually, the term may raise deliberate confusions, for it can be used by both environmentalists in defense of life and neo-liberals in defense of profit, market, the “generation of jobs”, etc. Facing the importance of the issue, it is essential that young people be able to develop critical eye for the question, in basic education as well as at the university. Also, the media, naturally, has the social duty of “teaching such a lesson” so that everyone can practice it at home, on the street, at work, on the road, everywhere. In this article, we shall study, though quickly, some of the concepts related to the upkeep of life in our planet.Downloads
