Résumé

With grounding in Mikhail Bakhtin’s dialogism and choreomusicology, this article addresses relationships between dance and music as a way of constructing meanings and, therefore, of dramaturgical elaboration. Choreomusicology is presented as a field of study specialized in dance and music, advocating for a gathering of related studies under this rubric. It is conducted a choreomusical analysis of the choreography Véspera (2023) by choreographer Christian Casarin for the Companhia Ballet Paraisópolis, demonstrating how dramaturgy can be evoked through the dialogue between the spatiotemporal forms of dance and music.
