Social and cultural frontier practices in the newspaper "a platéia": from local to global

Platéia is a print media that has been produced and released for more than 70 years at Santana do Livramento city (Brazil). This is a city which makes border with the city called Rivera (Uruguay). The newspaper has created its online version: the intention is to release in the region and globally the local news, enlarge the contacts, present to the audience (print and online users) the daily routine and social and cultural practices of frontier man. Studying the frontier media for more than a decade, we have the objective in this article to analyse comparatively the constituting elements from the two different versions of “A Platéia”.Downloads
