Abstract

I started my confinement on March 14, 2019, as marked by the calendar of mobile wooden blocks I have in the kitchen, a gift from Chica. I cannot say that this has been a difficult time, as it has been for so many in the country and in the world. Living by the Lagoa da Conceição, in a large house with lots of plants, birds and animals around, it has been a pleasure to work at home, eat my fathers Sundays barbecues, and walk in the mornings. It was because of these walks, always wearing a mask, that I decided to photograph with the cell phone camera what I saw, recording scenes that occur so close to home but that were unknown to me before COVID-19 changed my daily life. Posted on Instagram, they are a pandemic photo diary.
