In light of Foucault's thinking, this article analyzes educational practices, highlighting the mechanisms of knowledge/power that produce subjection through mechanisms of governmentality of bodies. Based on the concept of biopolitics, we develop an analysis of the foundations that structure basic education, pointing out the maintenance devices that maintain the neoliberal model, which inhibit the processes of singularization of students and promote a conformity that hinders new inventive ways of existing. We recognize the need to problematize the genealogies of these social and historical realities, proposing the creation of spaces/times that favor the emancipation of subjects.
