The conception that supports this analysis situates the University Social Responsibility (USR) as a systemic project, which materializes the promotion of development from the production and application of knowledge, in close relation with the emerging social demands and with the social and educational commitment with equality social, environment, human rights and diversity. Based on the parameters established by the URSULA Model, developed by the Unión de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria Latinoamericana, it is proposed that the university break with the traditional model of institution as a closed system and fight for its autonomy and legitimacy, in order to build its identity institutional responsibility and fulfill its social responsibility.
