In continuity with the research agenda, we have undertaken an analysis of the evolution of voters' relationship with political parties in Latin American democracies, so that this article aims to analyze, in a comparative perspective, the determinants of partisanship in countries that fit in different categories in terms of party roots: Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Chile. To do so, we used the Barometer of the Americas databases for the period between 2006 and 2016/7, whose results indicate the uniform decline in identification with political parties in the last wave, the relevance of interest for politics and the age groups of individuals to the manifestation of partisanship and relative indifferentiation between the profiles identified with the main legends of the national party systems, with the exception of the Uruguayan case.Downloads
