Pessoas idosas e sentidos de rural no interior do Rio Grande Do Norte

O estudo buscou conhecer os sentidos de rural e envelhecimento produzidos por pessoas idosas de uma comunidade rural do Rio Grande do Norte. Partindo da perspectiva construcionista social, valeu-se de entrevistas semiestruturadas junto a 13 pessoas da comunidade, com idade entre 60 e 85 anos. Os sentidos para rural se ligaram a: agricultura, alimentação, água, trabalho, saúde, sítio, campo, mato, interior, área, tudo na vida, desassistido, tranquilidade, configurando uma pluralidade de repertórios discursivos na elaboração de tais sentidos. Já os sentidos de envelhecimento se relacionaram a velho, idade, trabalhar menos, viver muito, experiência, tranquilidade. Tais sentidos negociam posições variadas a depender dos modos de inserção dos idosos na relação com a terra e com experiências vividas na cidade. Conclui-se que a produção de sentidos apresentam especificidades a partir de trajetórias de vida em um ambiente rural marcado por adversidades, mas de vinculação com o território por meio do trabalho, relações familiares e comunitárias.
