Life as a product a critical genealogy of neoliberal subjectivities

This article, situated in the field of Social Psychology and aligned with contemporary studies of subjectivity, uses the Foucauldian genealogical method to analyze how neoliberalism operates as a matrix for producing contemporary subjectivities. The objective is to critically investigate the ways in which neoliberal technologies of power crystallize lifestyles, molding bodies and modes of existence. It problematizes neoliberal governmentality, which promotes competitive individualism, self-entrepreneurship, and the internalization of norms, highlighting the role of daily practices as sites of political impregnation and resistance. The conclusion is that genealogy denaturalizes hegemonic forms of life, offering critical instruments to recognize and resist neoliberal interpellation on subjects and their existences.
