The article consists of a theoretical study that, articulating with the philosophy of authors such as Donna Haraway, Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Rancière, returns to the question of the spectator in order to raise discussions and propose possible theoretical-methodological contributions to the difficulties of research involving the social and political repercussions of the diffusion of Information and Communication Technologies in the contemporary world. Among these difficulties, there are classic questions, such as the passivity-activity of the spectator and the role of emancipation or alienation of the spectacle. Finally, it concludes by providing possibilities for methodological experiments that inhabit an interim between film studies and studies on social media.
