Abstract

O artigo objetiva situar a noção de cidade como sistema, explorndo inicialmente dois vinculos metafóricos: a cidade como texto (em analogia a língua), e a cidade com entidade cibernética (em analogia à maquinas e organismos vivos). Desde então, propõe-se duas possibilidades teóricas de investigação, ao cnsiderar: I)a cidade como tecnologia da inteligencia, e ; II) a cidade com sistema cognitivo complexo.
