Memory under construction: the military dictatorship in contemporany documentaries
Keywords:
Memória. Realismo. Testemunho. Documentário brasileiro. Ditadura militar.Abstract
This article talks about the process of the formation of memory about the Brazilian military dictatorship, specifically, through the documentaries produced in our times. To do this, two cinematographical works have been analyzed of this format (Vlado – 30 Anos Depois and Hércules 56) to illustrate the discussion about witnessing and the use of realism as aesthetics strategy. Thus, we focus on ideological humanization ideas (Žižek) and victimization, justifying the need of a deep study about traumatic events.Downloads
