Abstract

From references of ethnomusicology, this article discusses the approach to the issue of hip-hop and rap music as integrated in the global flow of goods, ideas, styles, or as linguistic and cultural matters, which is central in the life of many young people belonging to the suburbs of large urban centers, but also enjoyed by a wider audience.
