The heritage institutionalized by the perspective of the gesture: approximations between Bibliography and Archivology

Abstract

It addresses the question of institutionalized heritage considering the way in which preservation agents articulate and transpose, in the act of documenting, the institutional, legal and administrative determinations for the rationalization of the enunciation of equity. The agency in the process of representation of information and values of the objects of the past is what underlies the general objective of this work: the approximation between Bibliography and Archivology by the perspective of the gesture. The specific objectives are: to present the knowledge/to do of preservation agents for technical, legal, administrative and bureaucratic bias; to investigate, from processes and products, evidence of an art of knowledge/to do; and to indicate perspectives for the deepening of understandings about the potencies and potentialities of preservationist agents beyond disciplinary, scientific and bureaucratic frameworks. The proposed discussions find theoretical-conceptual support in Document Theory and Michel Foucault's reflections. This theoreticalepistemological study is developed from literature review. The results indicate two notes: the patrimonial documentation as a mediation device and the gesture as a force vector in the preservationist doing. The considerations reveal the contribution of Bibliography, especially the bibliographical gesture, for the recognition of traits and traces of preservationist knowledge/to do; and the relevance of the approximation between Bibliography and Archivology for differential approaches on the practices of representation and its unfolding in the field of heritage.
