This article deals with the first phase of Almodovar filmography, particularly the last film of this period, Law of Desire. Bakhtin's concepts of polyphony and dialogism are developed in order to help reflect on Almodovar's narrative construction and the relevance of his male characters in the composition of the body of his work.
