They are on the podium: analysis of brazilian journals in Physical Education and Sports

It analyses thirteen indicators that relate to the management and transparency of the process of editing journals on aspects that are linked directly to the academic community’s confidence in the system of journal publication and its scientific credibility. They are: (i) year of creation (ii)scope, (iii) financial support, (iv) the arbitration process, (v) frequency, (vi) number of articles per issue, (vii) the number of members of the editorial staff, (viii) the existence of digital Object Identifier (DOI), (ix) Qualis classification in the area, (x) the basis on which they are indexed, (xi) the responsibility’s nature institutional: public or private, (xii) software used in its issue, (xii) language. The gathering of information to answer these indicators was made on the electronic versions of journals in its different sections.
