Evaluation of Journals on Comunication by the Academic Community of the Area

The study aims at assessing 26 journals on Communication through the opinion of academics/researches from 12 Post-graduation programs researchers. The survey applies a quantitative approach that used a special form where researchers gave their opinion about some indicators: general quality of journal, contribution to the area, prestige on academic community, quality of articles, rigour on papers review, regularity of issue, graphic design and distribution. Only journals known by 50% of the researchers were analysed. Results point to eight journals best evaluated on Communication.Downloads
