Web 2.0 and Distance Learning: risks and opportunities
Keywords:
Web 2.0. Distance learning. Technologies in the education.Abstract
The article shows the growth in the possibilities of using digital technologies associated with the so-called “web 2.0”, among internet users. Discusses the relationship of this context with the technology-mediated education, particularly the Distance Learning (DL), noting that there is a paradoxical danger that the use of these new features enhance educational paradigms informational/reproductivist. However, it is argued that the reflexive use the possibilities that have emerged in the digital world can promote the construction of dialogue’s spaces in online education, giving a more sense communicative/constructivist in virtual education’s processes. Finally, note that, for this more positive scenario, it is also necessary that there be skills’s development by the participants (teachers and students) of educational activities in the digital environment.
