Cinema as polysystem: Theory of Polisystem as a tool for film analysis
Keywords:
Polysystem. Literature. Cinema.Abstract
Starting from the idea that Culture is a Polysystem composed of a polysystems others who are in constant interference and transformation through inter and intra-relations, is purpose of this work to make visible the idea of a cinematographic polysystem. It presents the Theory of Polysystem, idealized by Itamar EvenZohar from the propositions of the Russian Formalists, to then transpose it into the movie universe. And in order to support the use of the theory in the cinematic context is proposed an intertextual dialogue with Christian Metz’s reflections on filmmaking.Downloads
