“A memória aniquila o tempo”
Orientalismo e afetos nos expansionismos russos sobre a Ucrânia em 2014 e 2022

A incursão russa sobre a Ucrânia em 2022 e a anexação da Crimeia em 2014 compartilham características centrais da agenda política de Moscou, como a manutenção da influência sobre o território ucraniano, a reação a provocações ocidentais e o uso de discursos históricos para legitimar sua identidade nacional. O Kremlin, por meio de rememorização histórica e discursos afetivos, vem, desde as vésperas de 2014, promovendo a construção de uma identidade nacional que se baseia em uma espécie de excepcionalismo que justifica e legitima o papel moscovita de salvador da Ucrânia. Nesse sentido, o trabalho propõe analisar os ditos episódios sob a ótica do Orientalismo de Edward Said, sugerindo que a Rússia constrói uma narrativa histórica que legitima sua ação sobre outro Estado. A partir da análise de discursos oficiais e decisões constitucionais, a pesquisa visa explorar como as bases socioideológicas da política russa são formuladas e como se materializam.
