Ana Wegner, Universidade de São Paulo – USP, São Paulo/SP, Brazil

Ana Wegner holds a PhD in Performing Arts (2017) from the Université Paris 8 and the Universidade de São Paulo, defending a thesis on the history of vocal training in theater. Her postdoctoral research at USP, funded by FAPESP, is focused on technological transitions in sound design for theater, exploring the subject from both historical and transcultural perspectives (1970-2010). She is also an editor for the Brazilian Journal on Presence Studies, where she contributes to the scientific popularization of the field.  Dr. Wegner has taught in the Performing Arts departments at the Université de Poitiers, the Université de Picardie Jules Verne, and the Université d’Artois. As part of her Novação project (CAPES, 2018-2023), she collaborated with the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts (PPGAC) at Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC) and the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO).

Rafaella Uhiara, Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo – FAPESP, São Paulo/SP, Brazil

Rafaella Uhiara is the Principal Investigator of the project Sound Archives of Theater: Implementation of a Basis for Research on the Sound Dimension in Performing Arts, funded by the Young Investigator Grant from the São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP) for the period 2023-2028. This project is hosted at the Center for Theater Documentation at the University of São Paulo, where she also serves as a Research Associate and member in the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts. Dr. Uhiara holds a PhD in Theater Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle University (2018), which was fully funded by the Brazilian government (CAPES - Doutorado Pleno no Exterior). She also earned a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, specializing in Theater Direction, from the University of São Paulo in 2007.
