Abstract

This article aims at presenting how the contributions of the bio-existentialist psychophysiological model conceptualized by Vezio Ruggieri and his collaborators can bring a new light on some core elements underlying acting such as stage presence, identification process with a character and the complex mechanism of prosody. This theoretical mark, which sees the connection body-mind in a circular relation, will enlighten the reader on the physiological basis of perception and imagination as well as on the fundamental role that the muscular structure plays within the construction of these phenomena.

Medecin, Professeur de Fondements Psychologiques de l'Art et du Spectacle à la Faculté de Lettres. Auteur de nombreuses recherche sur deux axes principaux: le premier sur l'expressivité et l'art avec des finalités pédagogiques et le deuxième sur les processus pathologiques et les traitements de réhabilitation.

Lea Walter (Associazione Psicofisiologi Clinici per l’Integrazione Sociale – Rome, Italie), Associazione Europea Psicofisiologi Clinici per l'Integrazione Sociale

Psychologue clinicienne spécialisée en Psychophysiologie. Elle a terminé son cursus d'études universitaires (BAC +5) avec une thèse sur la mise en scène des Bacchantes d'Euripide entre l'archétype et l'expressivité corporel auprès de la chair de Psychophysiologie clinique de l'Université degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza. Après 4 ans d'expérience professionnelle en Santé Publique, elle suit aujourd'hui un Master en Art-thérapie dirigé par le Prof. Vezio Ruggieri.
