THE VIDEODANCE FÔLEGO AND THE TRACES OF SLAVERY CAMPINEIRA (SP)

Abstract

This article analyzes the screendance Fôlego (2018), an aesthetic-pedagogical result of a doctoral research on necropolitics in Campinas (SP). This work was composed in representative spatialities of the rise of coffee and sugarcane cultures in the interior of São Paulo, having the enslaved black labor as an economic axis. The aspects of origin and unfolding of the policy of death on black and peripheral bodies (MBEMBE, 2016) in the aforementioned metropolis are highlighted, seeking to broaden different perceptions about the ways of using the spaces of this city, thus discussing the contradictions that the capitalist system causes. This research seeks to contribute to a greater discussion about movement, bodies and spaces and political and social representation in dance.

Diogo Angeli, Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP

Diogo Angeli é artista da cena, educador, pesquisador e videomaker. Doutor e Mestre em Artes da Cena pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. Autor do livro "A arte da Videodança: olhares intermidiáticos" (2020), dedica-se à pesquisa da comunicação da dança contemporânea junto a outras linguagens artísticas e tecnológicas, especialmente a videodança. Orientou trabalhos de conclusão de curso de graduação em pedagogia na Universidade Virtual do Estado de São Paulo - UNIVESP, e no Instituto Federal do Amapá - IFAP. Professor de Artes e Dança no Ensino Fundamental do Santanna International School e na academia Ballet Cristiana Packer.

 

Marcelo Rocco, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP)

Marcelo Rocco é professor Adjunto IV da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP) - Áreas de Licenciatura e de Bacharelado em Teatro. Presidente do colegiado de Licenciatura (DEART). É coordenador do subprojeto PIBID-Artes (UFOP) desde 2018. É professor, orientador e membro do colegiado no PPGAC (UFOP). Desde 2012 é membro do grupo de pesquisa do Laboratório de Improvisação e Dramaturgia (LADI), pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Mestre e Doutor em Artes pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).
