Abstract

This paper discusses the creative process of the street performance Motim (Mutiny) (2015) from the perspective of laughter as a bio-potent performative action. We discuss how the relational thinking emerged within the framework of a process dramaturgy (Kerkhove, 1997), conceptualizing creative thinking as a network (Salles, 2006). The collaborative creative process of Motim started with three ways of approaching the act of laughing: physicality, memory and contagion. By focusing on contagion, we will discuss how relational thinking was installed in the creative process of Motim and was powered by the investigative aspect of laughter as contagion.

Professora doutora da Licenciatura em Dança da UFPE (Departamento de Teoria da Arte e Expressão Artística) e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais – UFPB/UFPE; pesquisadora do Acervo RecorDança, desde 2003; membro do Conselho Editorial da Revista do PPGDança – UFBA; membro do Coletivo Lugar Comum desde 2011; coordenadora do comitê Dança em Mediações Educacionais da Anda na gestão 2012-2014; em 2015, foi pesquisadora-coordenadora local (Recife) do projeto Mapeamento da Dança (Funarte/UFBA).

Especialista em Dança pela Faculdade Angel Vianna - Recife (2011) e bacharel em Comunicação Social pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (2003). É artista integrante do Coletivo Lugar Comum e coordenadora e pesquisadora do Acervo RecorDança. Atua como coordenadora de Seminários e Palestras da Mostra Brasileira de Dança e coordenadora do Contato Coletivo - Encontro de Contato Improvisação de Pernambuco. Em 2014 atuou na produção artístico pedagógica do Articulações – Fórum de Artes Performativas.
