Boundaries and borders: meetings and clash of cultures in the semiotic creolization process

The main purpose of the study is to scale the semiotic concept of creolization in order to understand both the cultural encounters as the clash of cultures through the sign processes of translation and untranslatability that support communication. For that distinguished the conceptual field that border, beyond limit, designate voltage line between the elements in contact, the case of languages, focus of semiotic approach of Yuri Lotman. As empirical field this analytical experiment, lies the creolization process when the Iberian adventure overseas, the meeting with the African continent and the African diaspora later to Brazil. It is expected resize the geopolitical implications of struggle, resistance and explosion of foreign status and new information that emerges when the permanence of untranslatability relations.Downloads
