In the web, many are the news sites whose staff journalists keep blogs. The goal of this article is trying to answer the following questions: what is "news" for these blogs? Why are they called blogs? What kind of trends in this system provoked changes in journalism? Based in classification models already in use and concepts presented by many authors, this essay intends to verify the intention of the digital news sites that maintain blogs.
