The aim of this paper is to point the semiosis of Elevado Costa e Silva, better known as Minhocão", located in São Paulo city. To this end, it will be explored its condition as a cultural text, in accordance with the principles proposed by the semioticists of the Tártu-Moscow school. According to our central hypothesis, the correlation between different temporalities in the space, characterized by the gradual process and its explosion, makes it a cultural text semiotically heterogeneous, which observes the action of two opposing forces, whose tensive and antithetical character explains the political bias of the different uses made of this high-line. Therefore, the senses that the Elevado is capable of producing culture are expanded.Downloads
