Abstract

ADHD is characterized by the occurrence of symptoms such as hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention, which have been treated with medications and psychological therapies. We here investigate how experiencing nature might aid in the treatment of ADHD symptoms. The present study is based on interventions and its participants are ADHD children, who were divided in two groups: Intervention Group and Control Group. Through a qualitative analysis, the present study concluded that ADHD symptoms were less intense after the experiences with and within nature although their respective ADHD subtypes still predominated.
