Conception of Teaching Work during the Pandemic: between the comical and the real

This article aims to contribute to an understanding of the real working conditions of teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly within the framework of emergency remote teaching” emergency remote teaching. To this end, it employs the analytical categories of humor and work examined in dialogue with teaching in Brazilian public primary education. The theoretical foundation draws on works related to theories of laughter and Historical-Cultural Theory, which inform the investigation of the empirical reference constituted by a selection of videos featuring comedian Diogo Almeida in the role of “Teacher Marli”. The methodological procedures are guided by Historical-Dialectical Materialism.
