Abstract

The objective of the work is to analyze the various indicators of crisis of representation in Brazil, Mexico and Peru, considering that these elements help to explain the current changes in the political behavior of the electorate, especially what has been manifested via digital social media: high political distrust and strong indignation against politics. A descriptive analysis of the Latinobarómetro historical series (2010-2020) is used. The results identify the intensification of the crisis of representation in the last decade, and it is interpreted that this crisis is the generator of the turbulence manifested in public opinion.
