O CONCEITO DE MÍDIA NA COMUNICAÇÃO E NA CIÊNCIA POLÍTICA:DESAFIOS INTERDISCIPLINARES

Abstract

The word media is used in different meanings to explain events of the political process in the field of Communication. On the other hand, in Political Sciences, media has not reached the status of an academic concept or of a variable to be taken into consideration. What is the relevance of the concept of media for both areas and, after all, what is the concept of media that researchers have being talking about in Brazil? This paper discuss what concept of media has being used in the fields of Communication and Political Sciences, specially in the studies identified as Communication and Politics and Media and Politics in Brazil.
