Abstract
O livro História da organização do trabalho escolar e do currículo no século 20: ensino primário e secundário no Brasil, de Rosa Fátima de Souza, faz parte da coleção Biblioteca Básica da História da Educação Brasileira. Composta por duas séries, a primeira é dedicada aos temas sobre educação e escolarização, a partir de registros temáticos mais amplos. Já na segunda, onde se insere o trabalho de Souza (2008), os objetos de análise fazem parte de uma ampla renovação nas práticas de pesquisa em história da educação, como por exemplo, a história da profissionalização docente, dos currículos, dos métodos e materiais de ensino.
