Abstract
ResumoAs reflexões apresentadas a seguir resultam de estudos que venho realizando sobre a constituição e institucionalização da história da educação como domínio de conhecimento disciplinar. Por meio desses estudos, procuro situar, analisar e interpretar o desenvolvimento da pesquisa e produção do conhecimento histórico em educação, no Brasil, a partir da década de 1930, e, dentre outros objetivos, esboçar a trajetória da formação do campo de conhecimento e ao mesmo tempo identificar e problematizar tendências e vertentes historiográficas. Para esta exposição organizei um roteiro de exposição em quatro momentos por mim considerados cruciais. No primeiro momento procuro acompanhar a trajetória dos estudos históricos em educação como demanda do Estado, aqui o período privilegiado remete aos anos 30 a 50; no segundo momento: o foco recai sobre o que denomino de "escola paulista" de estudos históricos em educação nos anos 50 a 70; o terceiro momento tem pano de fundo a criação e a expansão dos programas de pós-graduação em educação, no Brasil, a partir da década de 1970; e por fim, o quarto momento, o presente contemporâneo.

HISTORY OF THE EDUCATION (BRAZILIAN): FIELD ESTABLISHMENT, TENDENCIES AND RESEARCH AREAS
Abstract
The following reflexive thoughts resulted from the studies I have been doing about how the History of Education has been constituted and institutionalized as a discipline. Through these studies I have tried to situate, analyze and understand the development of the research and the production of the historical knowledge in Education, in Brazil, since the 1930s. Among other aims, I tried to understand the way in which the field of knowledge was shaped and, at the same time, identify and question the historiography tendencies and directions. This paper was organized in four different moments, which I considered crucial. At first I tried to trace the way the studies about the History of the education were conducted as matters of state (from 1930s to 1950s); Secondly the focus was on the historical studies on education of the so called “escola paulista” (from 1950s to 1970s). The third moment has as its background the creation and development of the post-graduation programs in Education in Brazil since the 1970s; and finally, the moment we are living in.

Resumen
Las reflexiones que se presentan en ese texto resultan de estudios que he realizado sobre la constitución e institucionalización de la historia de la educación como dominio de conocimiento disciplinar. Por medio de esos estudios, busco ubicar, analizar e interpretar el desarrollo de la investigación y producción del conocimiento histórico en educación, en Brasil, a partir de la década de 1930, y, además de eso, esbozar el camino de formación del campo de conocimiento y, al mismo tiempo, identificar y poner en discusión tendencias y vertientes historiográficas. Para esta exposición organicé un guión en cuatro momentos por mí considerados cruciales. Primeramente, busco acompañar el camino de los estudios históricos en educación como demanda del Estado, aquí el periodo privilegiado se refiere a los años 30 a 50; el segundo momento: el foco recae sobre lo que llamo de “escuela paulista” de estudios históricos en educación en los años 50 hasta 70; el tercer momento tiene como escenario la creación y la expansión de los programas de posgrado en educación, en Brasil, a partir de la década de 1970; y por fin, el cuarto momento, el presente contemporáneo.
