História e educação: as relações de gênero em Pelotas no final do século 19 e início do século 20
Abstract
Entendendo gênero como elemento constitutivo das relações sociais, a partir da contribuição de Joan Scott, tomo aqui as relações entre homens e mulheres no espaço urbano pelotense no final do século 19 e início do século 20 como foco de análise. Com um corpus de dados empíricos, obtidos em jornais, almanaques, revistas, relatórios do período de estudo, analiso as práticas sociais e culturais de homens e mulheres articulado com suas posições de classe e grupo étnico.

Abstract
Understanding gender as constitutive element of social relationships, from Joan Scott's contribution, I take here men and women relationships in the urban space of Pelotas in the end of the 19 century and beginning of the 20 century as focus of analysis. With a corpus of empirical data, got in newspapers, almanacs, magazines, reports, of the period in study, I analyze social and cultural practices of men and women articulated with their class position and ethnic group.
