Abstract

ABSTRACT

The pensions granted by the Junta para Ampliación de Estudios e Investigaciones Científicas (JAE, Council for the Extension of Studies and Scientific Research) for further studies abroad influenced the proposals and actions of the Mathematics teacher trainers who led the methodological renovation at that time. This paper focuses on the impact on the proposals for the teaching of Mathematics, both of such pensions (for who enjoyed them) and of other actions taken by bodies dependent of the JAE.

Author Biography

Encarna Sánchez-Jiménez

Licenciada en Ciencias Matemáticas y Doctora en Pedagogía, ambas titulaciones por la Universidad de Murcia. En la actualidad es profesora titular del Área de conocimiento Didáctica de la
Matemática, y su docencia ha estado dirigida a la formación del profesorado
en ese ámbito. Sus líneas de investigación prioritarias son la Historia de la
Educación Matemática, el enfoque epistemológico en la didáctica de las
matemáticas y la formación de profesores. Coordina programas de movilidad
con Iberoamérica. Ha sido subdirectora de la Escuela de Magisterio de la
Universidad de Murcia y directora del Dpto. de Didáctica de las Ciencias
Matemáticas y Sociales; coordina la Especialidad de Matemáticas del Máster
en Formación del profesorado de secundaria y bachillerato de la UMU desde
2010. Es miembro del Centro de Estudios sobre la Memoria Educativa (CEME)
de la Universidad de Murcia desde su fundación y actualmente es la secretaria
del mismo.
