Timber consumption for temporary works by buildings with the cast in situ reinforced concrete
Keywords:

Building structures made of cast-in loco-reinforced concrete use wood for formwork, struts, scaffolding, safety elements, and temporary construction site elements, which characterize the underutilization of biomaterial in a function of short life cycles and low added value. This work aims to survey wood consumption for temporary purposes in housing works with reinforced concrete structures executed on-site. Secondary data obtained through a systematic review of national and international articles on the use, reuse, and disposal of wood was used. Wood consumption per constructed area was 0.023m³/m². There was variability in the results of up to 25 times, explained by the methods of quantification, applications, and reuse of the material.
